Hope you are all enjoying these mostly sunny days (chilly still, I know)!
For me, the work over the past few weeks has been fun and varied. There was watercolour themed stationery for a styled shoot, a variety of invitation designs (for formal weddings, beach weddings, and a mehndi party!), and lots of envelope calligraphy. Orders have been coming in through my Etsy shop slowly and steadily too; I worked on this awesome custom order which included a watercolour illustration of the couple's wedding venue! What do you think? Working on this was so fun that's I've been contemplating offering it as a service- watercolour illustrations of homes, wedding venues... any special place, really.
Besides this I have also been volunteering at Open Studio, as they are prepping for Editions, the annual fundraiser happening this Thursday, May 5th. I'm always so impressed at how the beautiful studio and gallery gets transformed into an event space. This year, the art draw (50 tickets, 50 artworks, 1 minute to pick a print!!) is happening in the studio space. It's going to be a really fun night and all the proceeds go to support the studio space, the artists who work there (like me!), and to promote the art. There's going to be a printmaking demo, raffle tickets, a silent auction and complimentary food and drinks! If you're curious about printmaking, this is the event to go to! Preview the artworks available in the draw and buy your tickets here!
We are getting away for the weekend, which I'm really looking forward to. Lots of pictures and an exciting update next week!
Have a wonderful week!
